Season Ends as Hawks Defeat Chaos In Quarterfinals, 5-4
Dublin, Ohio- Chaos entered Tuesday's quarterfinals finishing fourth overall and facing the rival fifth place Hawks. The last time the two teams met, the Hawks scored two unanswered goals in the third period and went on to win 4-2. With momentum and confidence heading into this game, Chaos was hoping to turn things around and get their revenge.

After first and second period goals by Mike Letizia, John McConnell, Billy Barnett, and Chris Brehm, the team entered the final period tied 4-4. They were able to create several scoring opportunities, but could not sniff out the loose rebounds left in front. With 1:25 left, the Hawks carried the puck into the offensive zone and put a shot toward the net. The defenseman blocked the shot, but the puck bounced off several people in front and was lost in the group of skates. The Hawks center somehow scooped the puck out of the pile of people and skated in on net. The goalie attempted to dive and poke-check the puck away, but the Hawks center toe-dragged the puck around the sprawling goalie's stick and tapped it into the empty net. In an attempt to tie it back up, Chaos pulled their goaltender with a minute left. They spent nearly all of the remaining time in the offensive zone, but just could not find the back of the net. The buzzer finally sounded and the Hawks skated away to a 5-4 victory.

Chaos finished the summer session with an 8-4 record. The team is looking forward to getting back on the ice Fall session, which starts September 8th.

Chaos Defends Championship Title: Brings Home the "Cup"
After a hard-fought regular season, Chaos finished with a record of 8-3-1, as well as finished first in the standings for the second straight season. After easily skating by the D-Icers and Hockey 101 in the first two rounds, Chaos entered the championship game against the Columbus Beemers. The team was determined to defend the title, and they proved it once the puck dropped to start the game. Chaos put on clinic with the jaw-dropping shooting, passing and skating as well as displaying a phenominal team effort. It only took ten seconds for Chaos to find the back of the net. After that, they never looked back. Chaos received goals from Keith Hammond (2), Shane Print (2), Stephanie Juhl, and Chris Brehm, while Chris Bondra displayed solid goaltending in net. The team thumped the Beemers by the score of 6-2, and brought home their second straight championship title. Chaos skated to center ice after the game and hoisted their "Cups" to the sky and celebrated another title victory.

New Faces
Chaos would like to welcome back Bryan Wharton and Jonathan Wehr. We missed you guys! And the team would also like to welcome Kevin Fricke, Tommy Parker, and Sean Anderson, who will be joining the team full-time. Fricke played only one game with Chaos before getting injuried, but was signed during the offseason after recovering from the leg injury. He is a solid offensive-defenseman who will help strengthen the blueline. Parker and Anderson are gritty, power-forwards who will bring firepower to a struggling offense. Welcome to the team, boys!
